There are two kinds of “Rishu 日書” (or: Almanac, given titles jia 甲 and yi 乙) inscribed on bamboo slips from the Qin tomb at Shuihudi 睡虎地. Comparing with “Rishu 日書” inscribed on bamboo slips unearthed from Chu tomb at Jiudian 九店, the author believes “Chuchu 楚除” is a superstitious form that blended calendar taboo Janchu 建除 with Congchen 叢辰 in the Chu State of the late Warring States periods.
In addition, the author is trying to answer some questions in the report “The Bamboo Slips from Qin Tomb at Shuihudi,” correcting many errors and mistakes on deciphering, patching of broken slips, explanatory notes, and punctuation.
