Abstract

1. Foundation B6 and feature YH005 are a group of related architectures that served as a ceremonial altar and the earth representation of the Milky Way.
2. This group of architectural features consists of at least six units.
a. Feature YM127, a five-man grave, is the sacrifice offered to the (earth) Milky Way foundation.
b. Feature YH005 is the earth representation of the Milky Way.
c. Feature YH096 is the residence of the guardian of the Milky Way in the earlier period of occupation.
d. Feature YH044 is a replacement of YH096 that was abandoned later.
e. Red burnt earth found in feature YH010 is possibly related to   ritual.
f. Foundation B6, an architecture called 榭 (xie) locating on the eastern bank of the Milky Way, is the sacrificial altar.
3. According to the oracle bone records, a great number of rainy days had been recorded during the 文丁、武丁 (Wending, Wuding) era. The earth Milky Way, possibly filled by rainwater, was the place where 酒, ㄓ,  , 卯 and 沈 rituals were held.
