Abstract

1) The B1 foundation, a yellow earth platform, was built on the ruins of the B2 terrace.  It faces south, and on its east side there is a sloping path. It is a raised platform structure, perhaps the legendary Kao Ancestral Temple.
2) The B3 foundation, consisting of three gates, is to the south of the B1 foundation.  Three sets of four rows of plinths are arranged on top of firmly packed rammed earth, possibly forming the south gates of B1.
3) Inferring from the arrangement of the B3 foundation's plinths, it appears that they were involved in the measurement of the sun's shadow.
