摘要

〈詛楚文〉是戰國中晚期秦楚交戰之際，秦王命宗祝向神靈禱告，祈求降禍於楚師的詛文。此文刻於石上，沈瘞於山川。北宋時，刻石出土，南宋期間，石不知去向，唯拓本之複刻本流傳。由於秦王詛楚之事，史書闕如；詛文中所述諸事，史籍亦未有明確之記載，疑偽者遂代有其人。〈詛楚文〉字體接近小篆，被疑偽者認為「非先秦之文」，更是指〈詛楚文〉為偽的重要證據。
近年來出土春秋戰國文字材料日多，秦系文字的發展與變化有了較清晰的面貌。本文在敘述〈詛楚文〉的出土情況與時代背景之後，將疑偽者所提出的證據逐一複覈檢討，並從秦系文字演變的觀點探討〈詛楚文〉的真偽，認為〈詛楚文〉的字體結構及風格，放在戰國中晚期，至為恰當。文中也討論了〈詛楚文〉中幾個具有時空特色之語詞，指出其用法與其他秦文字材料之用法合而不悖，以為〈詛楚文〉真偽辯証之佐助。就目前的材料看來，指〈詛楚文〉為唐宋人偽作，實缺乏證據。
