說簠□□□及其相關問題 On “簠”,“□”,“□”,“□”and Related Questions

摘要

學者類以金文□、□、□、□為簠字，本文基於形聲字聲符應兼具聲韻母兩方面關係的觀點，深不謂然。□實同《左傳》胡簋之胡，亦即《論語》之瑚；餘者並為害字，義為盛食器，與瑚一語之轉，本以□、□象形，因借用為傷害義，加五字表意以別，或更加□示意，□則從□□聲。□為成湯時葛伯葛的專字，從夫害聲，其字用於金文，為侯國名即葛伯後之葛國，為周王名即定王介，言□德、□辟亦讀同介，義取大或狷，並因音近通用。連類論及瑚璉之璉，為□字的誤讀。凡此考釋，闢除了學者種種誤說。最後指出，簠器的出現當不若簋之早，至少不若簋通行之廣。經傳以簠簋連稱對舉，疑孔子以後始漸普遍。
