摘要

唐代文武職事官，都有散位，亦即散官，是為其本品。散官的品階，也就是散階，是官僚銓敘、考課、昇遷、黜降、薪俸、服章等等規定的重要標準之一。唐代繁多的散官名稱，或因襲前代，或出於自創。但兩漢以迄南北朝的「散官」，或由實職淪為冗散，或僅為加官榮銜，與唐代散官作為人事行政管理的標準有異。散官之制經過初唐不斷的修正、補充，至開元之世大抵定制。本文主要是從人事制度的角度，討論有關唐代散官的問題，包括：(一)隋以前的「散官」，(二)散階的設立與變遷，(三)散官與職事官的分別，(四)散官的獲得，(五)官的番上義務，(六)散官的待遇等。其中「散官的待遇」一節，是從薪俸、給田免課、刑罰、班序、車輿、衣服等六項，提出說明。
