摘要

本文係「氐人研究」的一部分，主要討論楚境內的氐人成分。楚境範圍很廣，在其境域內，有很多有關少數民族活動的記載；從他們的名稱，活動的區域，及遺留的地名，探討這些民族和氐人的關係。
盧人和羅子是楚西主要的民族，分佈地區很廣；此外尚有磨、宗、沓等地。從盧人和羅子分佈的地區，追溯其與賓人七部中之盧（又作羅）部的關係，再進而探討與南中盧鹿的關係。
楚西當陽有磨城、與盧城有同步的關係，這種情況同樣的出現在四川慶符縣，南中的金沙江、鴉江、及安寧河流域；南中與盧共居的為磨些蠻，而慶符南有摩些關，亦有麼些蠻；慶符東至施州境內，陸續有摩槎的遺跡，摩槎可能為麼些的異譯，而當陽與施州隔長江相對，其磨城當有可能為麼些留下的遺跡。
宗人為氐人一部，即漢世之賓人；沓為賓人一部落，亦屬於氐人。又沓為□之字，□作水名時作潛，潛即湔氐之湔。因此，沓本為氐人種號，自然是氐人。
