摘要

殷商甲骨文字，是發展已臻成熟的漢字，在這之前，它必然已經過了漫長的演變和發展的階段，這是古文字學研究者的共識。欲加探索，苦於資料難求；筆者近二十餘年，從事漢字起源與演變研究，證知七千年前的半坡陶文，應是原始漢字的雛形，自此以降，考古田野工作上，遞有發現，降及殷商，小屯陶文與甲骨文已完全一致。從甲骨文的六書分析，知道甲骨文實處於形聲字的發軔期，撰寫本文前，筆者據容庚四版《金文編》，作了全部六書分析，寫成字表，作為本文附錄，發現金文中形聲字大量增加。根據同一觀點，引用了前人對小篆和宋代流行楷書所作六書分析，合併起來，觀察漢字發展的大趨勢。在此項研究中，殷商甲骨文字，實處於關鍵性的地位。
