Journal for Legal History Studies
The Journal for Legal History Studies was conceived to be a leader in legal history and with the hope that standards in the field could be raised to new heights.
Since publication began, the journal has been a strong advocate for academic freedom and upheld strict standards for the acceptance of papers. This has garnered praise and affirmation from the Taiwanese and overseas academic communities.
Beginning in 2004, with the approval of the directors of the Association for Chinese Legal History, it was decided that that association and the Legal History Studies Group at the Institute of History and Philology, Academia Sinia would together publish the journal with two issues per year.
In order to further improve service to our readers, Angle Publishing Compay, LTD, Taipei began to handle sales and distribution.
The Chinese Legal History Association and the Institute of History and Philology no longer take subscriptions or orders directly.
