殷虛出土青銅爵形器之研究 (古器物專2)

這一部份研究的開始，遠在觚形器之研究報告發表之前。雖然有些與爵形器有關的新資料出現，但對於爵形器研究的一般結論，卻無法解答關於田野發掘出土所見資料的問題，如時代下限及涵蓋範圍等。

我 們對於爵形器形制的原始，仍沒有得到一個十分滿意的答案。這研究的著重點集中在鑄銅技術的發展，及這套技術的發展對器物的形制及文飾的影響。就爵形器而 言，它在青銅質料上所表現的若干新形態，足夠說明了鑄銅技術造成的影響。至於文飾的變化，所受到的這一技術的影響，涉及的範圍也很廣大。這一點在文中均有 詳細討論。殷虛出土的觚與爵將近八十件，沒有一件刻有「祖」或「妣」，或「父」或「母」的字樣，這確實是值得專門研究銘文的古器物學家注意的一件事。
