近代ヨーロッパ科学・医療史、人文科学史、比較文献学史、世界高等教育研究

學術的文化、思想史是我的研究興趣所在。我在美國芝加哥大學取得歷史博士學位(2002年),學術訓練從歐洲近代早期的科學與醫學出發。畢業後進入史語所。研究範圍擴展到高等教育的全球史、philology的比較歷史、出版與寫作的演進等。期間曾得到李氏基金會獎金(2003) 、國家科學委員會吳大猷獎(2006)、Institute of Advanced Study Membership (2006)、Fulbright Scholarship (2006-2007)、中央研究院年輕學者著作獎 (2007)、Harvard Yenching Visiting Scholarship (2011-12)、Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship(2014-15)等獎項。我與Sheldon Pollock及Benjamin Elman合編World Philology  (Harvard University Press, 2015) ,與Anthony Grafton及Glenn Most合編Impagination: Layout and Materiality of Writing and Publication (De Gruyter, 2021),與 Alan Rocke合編A Global History of Research Education: Disciplines, Institutions, and Nations, 1840-1950 (Oxford University Press, 2021),並完成書稿The Dissertation: A Global History、並撰寫書稿From Writing to Spoken Language: The Breakaway of Language Sciences From Philology:1880-1960 (contracted, Princeton University Press)。我的論文發表在Isis, Bulletin of the History of Medicine、History of Universities、History of the Humanities、Ambix、Osiris、Early Science and Medicine、Geschichte der Germanistik: Historische Zeitschrift für die Philologien、《中央研究院歷史語言研究所集刊》等期刊,及多種論文集。
