Introduction

Cite

This catalogue lists the 347 stone rubbings housed at the Fu Ssu-Nien Library of the IHP.  A majority of them originate from the Liao and Jin periods, some from Xi Xia and Liu Qi (1130-1137 A.D.), and lastly there are some whose origins are unidentifiable.  The nature of these stone rubbings range from epitaph, inscription of sutras, statues, poetry, stone dhvaja, imperial edicts, official documents and many others.  Arranged in chronological order, the catalogue also comes with indexes and references at the back to ease further research.
