This fourth volume is a continuation of the preceding three and it showcases wooden slips No. 311 onwards, unnumbered slips, as well as later-added slips and 3,481 pieces of unearthed artifacts. The collection includes the wooden slips from Edsen-Gol housed at National Central Library, National Museum of China, National Library of China, Shanghai Museum, Nanjing Museum, Freer Gallery of Art and Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C.; Han Lop-nor Wooden Slips housed at the Institute of History and Philology (IHP), National Palace Museum, and National Museum of China; and Han Dunhuang Xiaofangpan wooden slips and Han Lama Bay of Mount Wuwei wooden slips house at the IHP. Publication work on handwriting in the wooden slips from Edsen-Gol and Han artefacts has now been completed. Looking forward, the working group will continue to restore photo images, non-handwritten Han wooden slips and artefacts, as well as sort out and publish non-Han artefacts. The objective is to comprehensively showcase the accomplishments by the Sino-Swedish Expedition.
