Introduction
Year 2016 was a fruitful year for the Fu Ssu-nien Library. With financial support from Academia Sinica, the library published Unpublished Manuscripts of Fang Zhi in October and continued with the publication of Unpublished Manuscripts of Zi Bu. Among all the Zi Bu rare books housed in the library, more than 200 of them are manuscripts and codices, of which 8 were previously published in a cross-strait effort in 2013. This new set delivers another 22 previously unpublished manuscripts to the general public.
This new set of Unpublished Manuscripts of Zi Bu contains 20 volumes, with summaries in each volume describing the author, the background of this work, a brief summary and its academic worth. The books also come with indices, allowing easier search on the editors of the books, authors of the articles, authors of the forewords and colophon writers.
