The Institute of History and Philology holds 50 objects, organized into 22 groups, that have been officially designated as National Treasures. Each installment of the Approaching National Treasures exhibition series highlights one of these treasures in a dedicated display, offering visitors a closer look at its history and significance.
Opening on July 25, 2026, this installment features the Inscribed Deer Skull, a rare and exceptionally well-preserved artifact. Its inscription remains clearly legible, and its antlers are still intact. The object was officially designated a National Treasure under the Cultural Heritage Preservation Act on April 2, 2008.
