Introduction
Amongst the oracle bones housed at the Institute of History and Philology, the ones that were scientifically excavated and discovered had been published in the three volumes of “Words and writing of Yin-Xu”. However, those that were acquired through purchase were never published in full. This book fills the gap.
In recent year, the Institute has actively participated in Taiwan’s e-Learning and Digital Archives Program, and was therefore able to digitalize many of our precious collections, including the oracle bones. The hi-resolution color images included in this book are among the fruitful results of our participation in the program.
