Archaeology
From Prehistory to History – The Cultural Traits of Eastern Taiwan employs a geospatial framework, which incorporates a vertical tract of Taiwan stretching from its northern, northeastern, and eastern regions to the south as well as the Ryukyu Islands lying to the northeast, to reexamine cultural meanings of eastern Taiwan from 2000 B.P. to the 17th century. From this perspective, the book fills in numerous gaps concerning our understanding of the end of the Neolithic, transition into the Chalcolithic, and initial stages of history.
