AB  - With respect to the modern China’s legal reform, Dong Kang is a characteristic and significant figure. Here we will review his legal dedication and works. Based on the analysis of the transition of his legal thoughts and of his books, this paper is intended to draw the outline of this outstanding lawyer with a special historical background, and to interpret and introspect the issues involved with the legal reception movement in modern China.
