N2  - The legal history research center of the IHP was officially founded on July 1st, 1998.  In 2002, the research center underwent a series of discussions led by Yuan-Sheng Huang and Nap-Yin Lau that centered on the legal concept of “Chunqiu Jueyu” and the laws of the Qin dynasty.  A small-scale international conference was the fruit of these discussions.  In 2004, a conference co-hosted by National Chengchi University and the Chinese Society for Legal History was held at the IHP.  Nine out of the fourteen papers delivered at this conference constitute this conference proceeding.
